A girl oblivious to her surrounding

new to that place, scared to her death

a house in sight

afraid to ask out for help

thunders bringing her back to reality

like telling her to seek help

mustering up courage, she stepped in through those wooden doors

suddenly she is taken back to those old times

she sees her parents in their youth

sensing playfulness in their eyes, the excitement of new marriage

the burning tension with a twinge of contentment

no smart phones to capture the moment

but still, there is this glitter of happiness along hearts filled with love

marching forward on their journey

her mother thrilled to venture out on this voyage

mixed emotions getting the best of her

her father's chest swelled with pride holding his beautiful bride's hand

as the newlywed moved through a wooden door

the girl came out of her trance

now no hint of fears but only loads of excitement

the anticipation of getting to the home once shared by her parents burning within her

not wanting to wait, but the weather demanded her to

under the shimmering light, the girl stared into the possibilities of tomorrow

hoping to reach her destination to live under the roofs once shared by her parents
