Connection lost due to poor English........
I being a Nepali kid, don't know to count in Devanagari. I mean, I have trouble talking in Nepali. Being taught in English medium schools has made me more confident in English than in my mother tongue. I mean, I am writing this article in English, not in Nepali. Being a multi-linguist is a perk but not mastering the art of my first language haunts me.
The main objective of language is to connect people all around the world. With the motive of connecting people, English is considered the global language, but now people are losing sight of what is crucial. Nowadays, it's all about being trendy and modern, less about communication. Language should be more about expressing your opinions and convenience and less about showing off.
It's time to change this because now, the global language which aims to connect us is the reason behind the language gap. If you don't know English, you are not worth talking to. Hoping to change this thought process someday.
Stay tuned in!
